Instastory: What Do We Do With It?

The growth of “Instagram Story” is probably making Zuckerberg as giddy as a schoolgirl. Facebook’s rejection from acquiring Snapchat has let Instagram become a social media monster.


When Instagram first developed its “story” segment I, along with many others via my Facebook feed and Twitter, was skeptical and did not like the idea of having so many features in one app. As the months have gone on there is a drastic decrease in the use of Snapchat and a major influx of “Instastories”. What does that mean for you as a business owner and entrepreneur?


Well first off, you get to streamline your social media accounts. The Instastory helps you round up a larger audience. The younger demographic lean more towards quick snapshots and videos while an order audience likes using Instagram’s feed. You can upload pictures and shoot stories regarding any campaign you’re promoting. This will give your feed more information to take in if your customer chooses to do so.


Secondly your business can save on funding from using Snapchat. Although the margin is small, every penny still counts to go somewhere more useful! This will lean out your social media efforts which is a trend we foresee in 2017. Check out some of our other 2017 predictions here.


Lastly with its “explore” tab you can increase your exposure a lot more than with Snapchat. Habitual scrollers can bump into your page if they are used to looking at content like yours! Accounts now have publicized stories for strangers to see, if your account is public of course.


Although Instastory isn’t anything new there are still many things you can do with it. Streamline your social media accounts have have the opportunity to reach out to more potential clients!
